War Horse, Steven Spielberg’s eagerly-awaited epic feature starring TOM HIDDLESTON, opens in UK cinemas tomorrow.
Adapted from the hugely successful West End show (based on Michael Morpurgo’s novel), War Horse tells the story of Albert, a young man who enlists as a soldier in World War I, solely to be reunited with his beloved horse.
The film boasts a fantastic British cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, David Thewlis, Emily Watson, Eddie Marsan, Peter Mullan, Jeremy Irvine and our very own Mr. HIDDLESTON as Captain Nicholls – the soldier to whom Albert entrusts his horse. Long-time Spielberg collaborator and multi-Oscar-winning composer John Williams has created the original score.
War Horse has been receiving numerous award nominations, including Best Motion Picture (Drama) and Best Original Score at the Golden Globes. The film has already won the AFI Movie Of The Year award, a National Board Of Review (USA) award for Top Film and a Golden Satellite Award for Best Cinematography.
