TRACEY ULLMAN will be returning to the London stage for the first time in more than 20 years.
She will be working with award-winning writer/director Stephen Poliakoff on the world premiere of his new play My City. Poliakoff has described his first new theatre play in over a decade as ‘high octane’. It will deal with London, modern life and a collision between two generations, with a focus on those who have worked in the public service all their lives.
Tracey will play a former headmistress who finds herself suddenly reacquainted with two former pupils whose lives she helped to shape and inspire.
Rehearsals begin in August 2011 at the Almeida Theatre, with performances from 8th September. You can book your tickets here.
