Jack-Offie

The new longlist panel nominations have been announced for the Off West End Theatre Awards (aka ‘The Offies’).

Big congratulations to JACK GORDON, who has been nominated in the ‘Best Male’ category for his leading role in Philip Ridley’s Tender Napalm at the Southwark Playhouse.

Tender Napalm has received rave reviews by fans and critics alike and Jack’s performance has been described as “stupendous” (Evening Standard), “strong and dynamic” (The Stage) and “sexy, charming and tender” (The Independent). See our original Tender Napalm blog for more info about the production.

The Offie Awards were set up to recognise and celebrate the excellence, innovation and ingenuity of independent theatres across London and to reward the new talent that they nurture. Hamilton Hodell client PATERSON JOSEPH has been a public supporter and advocate of the awards from their inception. (For more information on how The Offies work and the ethos behind them, check out our original ‘Offies’ blog.)

There will be two lists of winners this year: those chosen by the public in the public vote and those chosen by a panel of theatre critics. The public vote will open on 31st December 2011 and you can continue voting until 14th February 2012. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in February 2012.

For information on how to vote and to see the full list of nominations, visit the official OffWestEnd website.
