Tom’s Star Is Rising

Huge congratulations to TOM HIDDLESTON who is one of eight actors long-listed for the Orange Rising Star Award, to be presented at the 2012 BAFTAs on Sunday 12th February. The long-list is shortened to the final five nominees by an Orange customer vote, here.

On Wednesday 11th January the final five nominees will be announced, and the full public vote opens.

Previous winners of this prestigious award include Tom Hardy, James McAvoy, Kristen Stewart, Shia LaBeouf and Noel Clarke.

TOM has had a fantastic year in 2011, starring in Joanna Hogg’s Archipelago, Woody Allen’s Midnight In Paris, Kenneth Branagh’s Thor and Terence Davies’ The Deep Blue Sea, which opens in UK cinemas tomorrow.
In 2012 you can see Tom on the big screen reprising his role as super-villain Loki in Marvel’s The Avengers. Next up, he is about to start shooting the roles of Prince Hal in Henry IV (directed by Sir Richard Eyre) and King Henry V in Henry V (directed by Thea Sharrock) for BBC2’s 2012 Shakespeare season.

To cast your vote and to get him onto the Rising Star shortlist for next year, visit Tom’s page on the Orange BAFTAS website.
