The fantastic new Australian miniseries Cloudstreet, starring KERRY FOX, is coming to UK television this weekend! The first of six episodes will premiere on Sky Atlantic tomorrow night, Saturday 7th January at 9:00pm.
An adaptation of Tim Winton’s modern Australian classic novel set during the ’40s and ’50s, this much-loved family saga chronicles the lives of the Lamb and Pickles families, who escape their rural backgrounds and personal tragedies to find themselves living together in a dilapidated house on Cloud Street in Perth, Australia, during World War II. The two families share numerous tragedies and triumphs that draw them closer together, until the roof over their heads becomes a home for their hearts.
Filmed exclusively in Western Australia, Cloudstreet stars KERRY FOX as ‘Oriel Lamb’, matriarch of the Lamb family. Other cast members include Essie Davis, Emma Booth, Todd Lasance, Geoff Morrell, Stephen Curry and Kelton Pell.
The epic miniseries aired in Australia in 2011 to much acclaim and has already been nominated for numerous awards, including 9 nominations at the 2012 Australian Film Institute Awards (for which Kerry has been nominated for Best Lead Actress In A Television Drama).
