doccop2

Huge congratulations go out to all of our clients whose pilots have been picked up for full seasons. BEN DANIELS, HAYLEY ATWELL, SEAN PERTWEE, LUCY GRIFFITHS and TOM ELLIS all star as leading roles in new seasons which are currently, or about to start shooting around the world.

BEN DANIELS is starring in Starz’s ballet drama Flesh And Bone from creator/exec. producer Moira Walley-Beckett (Breaking Bad). Described as a dark and gritty exploration of the dysfunction and glamour of the ballet world, Flesh And Bone follows Claire (played by Sarah Hay), a young dancer with a distinctly troubled past, as she joins a prestigious ballet company in New York. BEN stars as the company’s volatile and brilliant artistic director Paul Grayson.

HAYLEY ATWELL is starring in the titular role in new ABC season Marvel’s Agent Carter, once again reprising her role as Peggy Carter from the short film Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter as well as the feature films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. This time it’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalised when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark, all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers.

SEAN PERTWEE is starring in Fox’s Batman prequel drama series Gotham. Based on DC characters from the Batman universe, Gotham explores the origin stories of three main protagonists: Commissioner James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), an idealistic rookie detective in Gotham City; Bruce Wayne, following the death of his parents; and the villains that made Gotham City famous. SEAN plays a younger version of Bruce Wayne’s trusted valet Alfred Pennyworth. A tough-as-nails ex-marine from East London, Alfred has loyally served the Waynes and now, in the wake of their tragic deaths, he’s fiercely protective of the young Bruce. Gotham is written/exec. produced by The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller, with Danny Cannon directing and exec. producing for Warner Bros TV.

LUCY GRIFFITHS will be starring as the female lead opposite Matt Ryan in NBC’s drama Constantine, from Warner Bros TV, based on the characters in DC Comics’ “John Constantine” stories. The show centers on John Constantine (Ryan), an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond. LUCY plays Liv, the daughter of Constantine’s late friend. Tired of her ordinary life, she’s an offbeat young woman who comes to discover that she has the ability of seeing the supernatural world among us, which makes her a key player in the battle between good and evil. When she becomes targeted by demons, Constantine steps in to save her and they ultimately team up to save lives, master her power, and learn more about her late father.

And last but not least, TOM ELLIS stars as the lead in USA Network’s medical drama Rush. Written and directed by Jonathan Levine, Rush centres on Dr. William Rush (TOM), a not-so-average on-call doctor! He’s not attached to any hospital, he’s highly discreet no matter what the ailment – as long as the client can pay his cash-only premium – and he can party with the best of them.

All shows are set to debut on their respective channels between 2014 – 2015. We’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, congrats to all five clients!
