Check out Tuesday’s episode of Here’s The Thing with Alec Baldwin, which this week features an in-depth interview with new HH client LISA DWAN.
Here’s The Thing is a public radio show and podcast interview series produced by New York City’s WNYC and hosted by actor Alec Baldwin. It features intimate and honest conversations with artists, policy makers and performers to hear their stories and discover what inspires their creations, what decisions changed their careers and what relationships influenced their work.
For the June 23 episode, Here’s The Thing visits the Tony and PEN Award-winning playwright John Guare, followed by a chat with hyper-kinetic actor LISA about playwright Samuel Beckett, Ireland, and the physicality of theatre. Having recently gathered critical acclaim for a grueling one-woman show featuring three of Beckett’s most intense works: Rockaby, Footfalls and Not I (the last of which is a stream-of-consciousness monologue, with only LISA‘s mouth visible hovering over a black stage), LISA discusses her roots dancing ballet with Rudolf Nureyev when she was just 12 and how she has carried that poise and fluidity with her into her acting.
