Massive congratulations go to our wonderful client MARK RYLANCE who won the Academy Award on Sunday night for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, for his incredible performance as an arrested Soviet spy in Steven Spielberg’s multi award-nominated picture Bridge Of Spies.
We’re all brimming with pride for MARK, who is currently having an incredible few months, having just won the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for the same role two weeks previously. And his career continues to go from strength to strength as he found himself nominated this week for the 2016 Olivier Award for Best Actor, just hours after winning his first Oscar! This nomination is for his critically-acclaimed role as King Philippe V of Spain in Farinelli and the King, which played at the Duke of York’s Theatre last year. The Olivier Awards celebrate their 40th anniversary this year and will be held at London’s Royal Opera House on 3 April. Check out the full list of nominations here.
Huge congrats again, MARK!
You can currently see Mr. Rylance starring in Nice Fish at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York (For full info, tickets and reviews, check out our previous article Glowing Reviews for Mark’s NICE FISH). Keeping fingers crossed for the Oliviers in April and in the meantime, let’s replay that glorious moment when MARK won his Oscar on Sunday night:
