Steven Spielberg’s big screen adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s classic The BFG (aka the Big Friendly Giant) will open in UK cinemas tomorrow, starring our amazing MARK RYLANCE as the titular character.
Fresh from his Academy Award win for his spellbinding performance in Spielberg’s previous film Bridge Of Spies, MARK looks and sounds absolutely fantastic as the loveable, titular giant in this massive visual spectacular. Just like the book, the film is magical, emotional, terrifying and heaps of fun! It tells the story of Sophie, a young orphan girl who, after spotting an elderly giant outside her window late one evening, is captured and taken into Giant Country, where the adventure begins.
The BFG also stars Ruby Barnhill, Penelope Wilton, Rebecca Hall, Bill Hader, Rafe Spall and Jemaine Clement, with a script by the late Melissa Mathison.
Go see the giant spectacle on the big screen this weekend! Here’s the trailer:
